Our Services
Psychiatric Evaluation
A diagnostic assessment will be completed in your initial visit. This assessment allows us to identify conditions requiring intervention and to collaborate with you to develop an appropriate initial treatment plan.
Medication Management
Whether you are new to medication therapy, seeking a fresh perspective on your current medication management, or have interest in supplemental treatment options, we’re here to help.
Therapy
Therapy is an important component of nearly all psychiatric treatment plans. It can be utilized as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with medication management depending upon your individual preferences.
Genetic Testing
Patients struggling to find an effective medication or those sensitive to side effects may wish to consider this option.

You will first be asked to complete a prospective patient questionnaire and a free 10-minute phone consultation in order to determine if we can meet your needs. This helps us to expedite scheduling and to avoid wasting your time and money if we are unable to assist you.
Once you have completed your consultation, the next step is your initial psychiatric evaluation appointment. At this time all appointments will be via telemedicine.** You will be provided with detailed instructions prior to your visit. This initial visit will last ~45 minutes where we will gather detailed medical and psychiatric histories to establish an appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
If you have prior psychiatric treatment records for review, we ask that you have these faxed to our office 48 hours prior to your appointment.
-
The Ryan Haight Online Pharmacy Consumer Protection Act of 2008 was created to regulate online internet prescriptions, is enforced by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) and also imposes rules around the prescription of controlled substances through telepsychiatry.
The Act requires any practitioner issuing a prescription for a controlled substance (including benzodiazepines, hypnotics, and stimulants) to conduct one in-person medical evaluation (with certain specified exemptions) prior to prescribing controlled substances. Once an in-person evaluation is completed, the practitioner may prescribe via telemedicine thereafter.
We are able to prescribe most psychiatric medications after a telemedicine exam. Only controlled substance prescriptions are restricted without an in person visit. Common controlled substances used to treat psychiatric conditions include benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, etc.), hypnotics (Ambien, Lunesta, Sonata, etc.), and stimulants (Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, etc.).
Though these medications are often unnecessary given a number of available alternatives, we will be happy to coordinate with your local primary care provider should we determine treatment with one of these medications to be appropriate.
Scheduling your appointment
We are dedicated to providing personalized mental health care and support. Our mission is to create a comfortable and safe environment for our patients.
To ensure that we can adequately meet your needs, we ask that all potential new patients first complete a general questionnaire followed by a complementary 10-minute consultation call with Dr. Ault. To get started, please select the link below or call 865-432-1521 for assistance.
If it is agreed that you are a good fit for our practice, you will then be scheduled for an initial telemedicine visit.

Patients who have commercial insurance plans that are not accepted by our practice may have out-of-network (OON) benefits. We recommend you call your insurer to verify your out-of-network coverage. If covered, you may be able to receive reimbursement for all or part of your visit cost by filing an OON claim with your insurer.
OON patients will be responsible for the full cost of your visit due at the time of service. Our office is unable to file these OON claims on your behalf, but will provide you with an itemized invoice (called a superbill) which you may submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement decisions are made by your insurer, so we are unable to guarantee reimbursement.
To file an OON claim, you will need to follow your insurance company’s procedure and requirements. Instructions can usually be found on your insurer’s website or by calling their customer service line. Claims can generally be submitted by mail, via online submission through your insurer’s website, or using independent services such as Reimbursify.
[**Patients with Medicaid or Medicare are not eligible to apply for reimbursement.]
